Bob Vander-Wal
Business Development Adviser
Bob Vander-Wal has been a business adviser for 30 years. He spent the first 20 years of his career as an accountant in public practice, specialising in helping small businesses. The last 10 years has been focused on management consulting and business development.
Bob has operated a number of successful businesses including accountancy practices, a horticultural wholesale and distribution business and successfully set up a franchise type system.
Winning the 1999 NT Export Award for Emerging Exporters was the culmination of a lot of work marketing a range of products into S.E. Asia.
Being President of the NT Small Business Association was a labour of love for Bob because he is passionate about helping family businesses.
After almost 40 years in Darwin, Bob and his wife Karen moved to the Sunshine Coast. They both visit Darwin regularly for business meetings and to visit family and friends. They have 4 children, who are scattered around Australia and even the UK.
Bob's interests include cricket, music and learning to surf.
